LiveNow for Twitch App Reviews

Du fait que Twitch n’utilise pas encore le HTML5, j’ai acheté cette appli. Elle fait son taff, mais manque encore bcp de fonctionalités. Things to add/fix: - Sound remains for few second after the stream is closed - add a dock icon so we can easily change window - app does not appear in cmd+tab shortcut. Why? - add a refresh button in stream window - add viewers in stream window - save size of stream window when it is closed - when in windowed mode, double click on the screen should go to full screen mode - when in full screen mode, esc button or double click should go to normal mode - add the possibility to resize chat window/put it in another window - sound indicator is not visible when in full screen mode when i click on F10/F11/F12. Why? (same for all others buttons) - automaticaly reload stream window when not active for a long time - why i cannot change stream quality when the stream is lanched? If you add all of thoses functionalities, it would be perfect :)

LiveNow shows me all the Twitch streams Im following in a neat little window. Perfect for me, since Im kinda spending time on Twitch 25 hours a day! :D The only thing I found missing is that the app doesnt show the stream titles. But I asked the dev about it and he implemented it within no time – 5/5 stars!

Works well on first time. Settings are nicely disposed and quality of stream is great on Source. The only problem is that i think there is a bigger delay with every streaming i have tested but totally work besides this. I recommend if you don’t want to use TwitchNow on Chrome. If i can change some things, i would add the stream title + the game playing and patch the volume button that don’t show up until you clic the fullscreen button. Two little changes and it can be really Perfect !

Please add ability to set miniplayer window "always on top"

The app has been working since the current update, but now I can’t see certain emotes, the chat won’t show and the profile pics and game pic don’t show. Refreshing my internet lets’s me the chat, images, but only some emotes I think it’s time for an update now, because twitch updated something and it broke the app :(

this is a great app and i liked it a lot since i can just keep it in my toolbar. But you need to update it since there is no password protection and i can literally sign into any1s twitch account.. also maybe a search engine to look for other ppl and or games..! thank you

If you are a frequent twitch.tv user you will find this to be a super convenient way to pull up the streams you want to watch. The best part is it references the HLS stream over flash (http streaming protocol) which uses a lot less energy than flash. My only suggestion would be to add a way to filter the people you follow in such a way that would only show those who are online.

Really like this app and that there are no ads. Would really like if there was a way if a chat pane could be added. 5 stars overall!

I’m happy with this app. It notifies me when my favorite streamers are on, which is what I really wanted because my mobile device isn’t always right in front of me when I’m on my laptop. So I’ll never miss my favorites!

This app is bogus! It wont even open and in side the files contents is says “APPL???” DO NOT give this 3rd party anymore money!

This app doesn’t even open on my new macbook pro. I was hoping for something that would be easy and quick to use instead of using safari. Well not opening doesn’t do me any good. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!!

Got this app one a whim back when it was 1.0. It kinda worked and offered a few features. Over the last year(?) this app has really bloomed into a full feature Twitch browser, player and notifyer. The developer reponds to emails and adds in features that I personally requested. Great job with the last few builds and thanks for the great support! I’m very happy with this app now, only thing that would be nice to see would be a custion notification sound, something video game related perhaps. wink wink :)

The only way to watch Twitch. Works great on my Macbook Pro (El Capitan). Notifications work great, and HTML5 really helps keep energy usage low. Hopefully the dev will keep supporting this app. Well done.

If you watch Twitch regularly on Mac OS X, this app is definitely worth 3 bucks. You can set it to auto launch via “Login Items” in system preperences and you won’t miss your favorite streamers… I set it to 15 min refresh, and it works just fine. Also, I regularly watch Twitch on my 11” macbook air in a mini player, but when it’s docked at home, watching the streams on a big screen is effortless with the Airplay option. Beats dealing with the Twitch website for sure.

Love this app! Tells me who is live and let’s me watch it without the need of a web browser. It’s definitely worth 3 dollars if you watch Twitch on Mac OS X regularly. You can set it to auto login via "Login Items”, so you don’t miss your favorite streamers… I set mine to 10 min refresh and works great! I watch on a 1920x1080p monitor and video will vary to how it looks accordingly with your internet quality. I NEVER have to deal with the buffering Twitch’s video for those with higher quality. LiveNow could be improved with a password to login and have Better Twitch TV gif emotes

Does exactly what it should, how it should. Configurable choice of viewers. Worth it.

Won’t let me login to chat. Pretty huge.

I have not used the twitch website ever since I bought this app. My MacBook Pro fan would frequently turn on when watching source on the website, but thanks to this app and hls the fan no longer comes on. Love being able to hide the chat for when I don’t feel like talking and just watching. The only thing I dislike is that I cannot follow channels through the app, so I have to open them up on the website to do so.
